Biography

Kenneth L. Brune has more than 48 years of practice in the legal profession and founded Brune Law Firm, a full-service practice, in 1994 with expertise in multiple areas of the law from transactions, such as estate planning, to disputes between multinational organizations, and more.

Mr. Brune’s knowledge is focused on business law, complex litigation, energy transportation, commercial law, and trusts.

Mr. Brune began his career in 1975 as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma followed by Assistant District Attorney and a Special District Judge for Tulsa County.

DEDICATED TO SERVE

Prior to Brune Law Firm, Mr. Brune was a partner and managing member of prominent Tulsa law firms. He is admitted to practice in various federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court and is a member of both the Oklahoma and Iowa State Bar Associations.

Mr. Brune has devoted his professional life to the law, his church, and his community. He currently serves as a Trustee of the Oklahoma State University Medical Center as well as the Chairman of the St. Francis of Assisi Trust, an education trust fund. Mr. Brune is a board member of and general counsel to the Tulsa Foundation of Architecture.

He has served as the President of the Tulsa County Bar Association and has held positions as the President and Director of Legal Services of Eastern Oklahoma, President of the University of Tulsa College of Law Alumni Association, Oklahoma Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the Temporary Court of Appeals of the State of Oklahoma.

A HISTORY OF EXPERIENCE

Mr. Brune received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Ambrose University and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa. He is proud to have served with the U.S. Army as a combat officer in the Republic of South Vietnam and was awarded a Bronze Star for valor before earning his J.D. from the University of Tulsa in 1974, where he was a member of the Board of Editors for the Tulsa Law Journal.

A former adjunct professor at the University of Tulsa College of Law, Mr. Brune has lectured at the school and the Tulsa County Bar Association’s Department of Continuing Legal Education. In 2014, he was inducted into the University of Tulsa’s College of Law Hall of Fame.
